With a photo pet urn from Perfect Memorials, you can create a loving tribute to your pet. These urns include one or more frames within their design, allowing you to personalize the urn in a special way. Pet cremation urns with photo frames are available in several styles, including frames, chests, and cubes.
How to Choose a Pet Urn with a Picture Frame
When choosing between photo pet urns, there are several questions that you need to ask yourself. How many photos do you want to display, and in what size? Do you prefer a certain frame shape? Do you want to add custom engraving? How much space do you need in the urn? Once you know exactly what your criteria are, it's easier to choose an urn for your pet.
Consider How Many Photos to Display
Start by choosing the photos that you want to display. We offer many urns that hold a single photo. A few urns hold two photos side-by-side, and more have space for 5 to 6 photos in a cube or rotating
display. In some cases where there are places for multiple photos, adding an optional engraved plaque or poem plaque may reduce the number of images that you can add.
Frame Shapes for Pet Urns with Photos
The most common frame shapes for photo pet urns are square, rectangular, oval, or heart shaped. Depending on the size of the urn, the frame may be smaller than a standard photograph print. While some urns have room for an image that's 4" x 6" or larger, the frame size on a small urn may only have an opening of about 2" x 2". In addition, a heart-shaped frame may limit the section of the photo that you can see.
Photo Pet Urn Sizes
When choosing an urn, a good rule of thumb is to make sure that it has 1 cubic inch of volume for each pound of your pet's weight before cremation. In other words, if your cat weighed 12 pounds, you'll need an urn with at least 12 cubic inches of volume inside. Most people choose a photo pet urn with extra space, both to ensure that there is plenty of room for the remains and any container that they arrived in and so that they can add a collar, favorite toy, or another memento to the urn.
