Filling Cremation Bracelets
It's very simple to fill a cremation bracelet, but the exact method depends on which type of bracelet you select. In a cremation charm bracelet, the cremains chamber is likely to be in the charm itself, perhaps allowing it to be unscrewed from the bracelet itself. For a bangle, you'll likely find a small screw in the bracelet itself that seals the chamber closed.
Once you've located the cremains chamber, simply unscrew the opening with your fingers or a small screwdriver. Using the fill kit that was included with your order, place the funnel over the opening and put a very small amount of cremains, burial soil, hair, or dried funeral flowers into the chamber. You'll only be able to add about ½ a pinch. Use the included wood pick to help you get the material through the funnel and to clean off the screw threads in the chamber. We recommend that you add a small amount of the adhesive that is included in the fill kit to the screw before you replace it; this will seal the chamber, preventing it from reopening accidentally or from water entering it.
Caring for your Cremation Urn Bracelet
You should always be careful with any piece of jewelry, but this is even more important with cremation bracelets. Don't wear it to bed or when bathing, and it's a good idea to take it off before performing any strenuous activity to avoid it being damaged. A cremation urn bracelet can typically be cleaned gently with a soft cloth should it get dirty. You may want to consult a jewelry professional about your specific piece should it need a complete cleaning.
